The fourth season of Bridgerton is about to introduce an alluring new love interest for Benedict

Bridgerton fans will be curious to know more about actress Yerin Ha as she joins the drama as Sophie Baek.

Netflix has recently confirmed the release dates for the upcoming fourth season of the hit Regency era romance, which will drop in two parts.

Based on the third book in the series by Julia Quinn, An Offer from a Gentleman, shes introduced as a mysterious love interest for Benedict Bridgerton (played by Luke Thompson).

But what do we know about her role in season four so far, where might fans have seen Ha before and whats going on in her life away from the cameras?

Who is Sophie Baek?

Sophie is initially introduced as the enigmatic Lady in Silver at a masquerade ball thrown by Benedicts mother Violet Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell).

Despite his reluctance to follow in his siblings footsteps and settle down, Benedict is instantly enthralled and they share a magical night together.

However, Sophie is keeping her true identity hidden as shes simply a maid for the tons new arrival Lady Araminta Gun (Katie Leung) and her two daughters, Rosamund (Michelle Mao) and Posy Li (Isabella Wei).

Ha said of the role to Tudum: What drew me to Sophie was that she immediately has obstacles something that she constantly has to overcome.

Whether its this battle around social status or trying to hide her feelings from Benedict.

Who is Yerin Ha?

Yerin Ha is an Australian actress who was born in Sydney to South Korean parents. Her grandmother is well-known actress Son Sook.

She trained for three years at the Kaywon High School of Arts in Seoul before studying at the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney.

Ha comes from a family of performers, though little else is known about her personal life as shes currently keeping any romantic partners out of the public eye.

However, fans may have seen her on screen before as she has landed main roles in the Australian shows Troppo, Bad Behaviour and The Survivors.
