Channel 4 lifts lid on 'lunchtime boob jobs' in Surgery Secrets of the Super Rich

Channel 4 is giving viewers a rare glimpse into the lives of the rich by showcasing how some may spend their cash on unheard-of cosmetic procedures

Surgery Secrets of the Super Rich: Patient receives breast implant

A new Channel 4 show is set to uncover the secrets behind the surgeries of the wealthy.

Surgery Secrets of the Super Rich lifts the lid on the latest cosmetic treatments and surgical procedures that have become popular among wealthy clients and celebrities but remain relatively unknown to the wider public.

From advanced injectable treatments that have transformed the aesthetics industry to specialist operations, such as deep plane facelifts, the programme will uncover the procedures that are only affordable to those who have the budget.

Across the hour-long episodes, cameras go behind the doors of some of the UK's leading cosmetic clinics, offering viewers a rare glimpse into the world of high-end aesthetic medicine. Surgeons and practitioners explain the techniques behind their most sought-after procedures, revealing how they create natural-looking results that often go unnoticed.

In one episode, viewers are introduced to Phoebe, a marathon runner from the West Midlands, who opts for what the programme calls the UK's first "lunchtime boob job" an awake breast augmentation completed in around 90 minutes.

Hoping to avoid a lengthy recovery, Phoebe chose the procedure because it is designed to be less invasive than traditional breast augmentation. By minimising damage to surrounding tissue, the technique aims to speed up healing and allow patients to resume their everyday activities more quickly.

In an exclusive clip, Phoebe can be seen with her eyes open while on the operating table as the quick, ground-breaking procedure is performed. Describing the procedure while being operated on, Phoebe said: "It's like trying to get on a pair of jeans that are too tight."

Commissioning Editor Deborah Dunnett shared her thoughts on the show in a statement. She said: "Cosmetic surgery is in a new era. And the very fact the trend is called undetectable beauty makes me desperate to get to the bottom of whats going on."

She added: "The beauty of Curves (producer) series is that by working with this otherwise inaccessible world, we can all understand what treatments there are, what they cost, what the physical toll is and how much time wed need to take off work to get it without anyone knowing!"

Meanwhile, Camilla Lewis from Curve Media adds: "With Surgery Secrets of the Super-Rich, we wanted to go beyond the headlines and hashtags to explore the real people, pressures, and procedures driving Britains cosmetic surgery boom.

"Its glossy, revealing, and full of surprises, and we cant wait for viewers to see it."

Surgery Secrets of the Super Rich airs 8pm tonight on Channel 4.
