Hollyoaks star Chelsee Healey wiped away tears as she opened up about her recent departure from Dancing On Ice, admitting she's 'had a lot to deal with'. The actress was the first celebrity to leave the ice in the 2025 series after the second week's skate-off.
The 36-year-old and her ice partner Andy Buchanan were at the low end of the score table last weekend, managing only 22 points from the judges following the initial group of performances. But after all celebs had their turn this Sunday, Chelsee found herself pitted against comedian Josh Jones, who skated to a score of 20.5 earlier that evening.
With combined judges' scores and public votes determining the fates of the two dancers, it was revealed that Chelsee had the lowest tally and would be going home, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Gracious in her exit, she took the moment to laud pro partner Andy as "amazing" and expressed that she "couldn't have done it without him".
She added: "I feel, personally, there's been a lot going on with me that I've been struggling with, so I couldn't completely focus. I'm just really grateful, I've had the best time."
Chelsee also shared a heartfelt message with her fans, posting pictures of herself in her Dancing On Ice glam and two videos where she speaks directly to her followers. Alongside the posts shared on Friday, she penned: "Had so many messages about Dancing on ice Thankyou Everyone for the Support."
She continued: "Just know i am where i need to be. Just a little context of how i have been feeling with the 2 videos, I have had a lot to deal with and God Knew i needed to just take time for Myself and Be at home With My Girls. A Smile can sometimes Hide a thousand Feelings."
In the videos, recorded before her first performance on the ice, Chelsee admitted: "Hi everyone, I've not really come on here and spoke for a little while... I'm on my way to London because it's the first live show on Sunday for Dancing On Ice which is really, really exciting and at the same time, I'm riddled with anxiety at leaving the girls", to which she breaks down in tears.
She added: "I'm just really nervous but overwhelmed. I'm not upset, just kind of taking it all in. I'm a really nervous person so just hope and pray guys that I get through the first live show on Sunday."
The response from her followers was overwhelmingly positive, with comments like: "Gorgeous inside and out chels you smashed it."
Meanwhile, another follower wrote: "You absolutely smashed it!" and a different account added: "We are all still so beyond proud of you! Your amazing at anything you do."
Elsewhere, another fan also posted: "You deserved better! You were amazing on strictly deffo had potential, hope you're okay!"
Dancing On Ice continues this Sunday on ITV and ITV X.
