'Forgotten' Jim Carrey film is leaving Netflix you have days to watch it

The actor, renowned for his energetic slapstick performances, has entertained audiences in films like The Mask, Dumb and Dumber and Batman Forever. However, some of his roles aren't as frequently discussed.

Looking back at his illustrious career, it's easy to overlook the number of iconic films he's starred in, especially since his name has been a household one since the early 1990s. Now aged 63, Carrey has reached a diverse age range over the years due to his varied roles. If you're a fan, you might want to move quickly if you have Netflix.

That's because one of his iconic films is being taken off the platform in April, leaving you with only days to watch it. On Reddit, film enthusiasts confessed they had "forgotten how brilliant it was" until recently.

According to What's On Netflix, the 2003 film, Bruce Almighty, will be removed from the platform on April 1, meaning you have less than 48 hours to watch it. If you've never seen it, it's been hailed as a "fantastic movie" by fans, with many praising the film on Reddit.

One social media user commented: "Self doubt/loathing, real and dark arguments between the protagonist and his lover, and of course a big helping of getting exactly what you asked for.

"It's a tragedy disguised as a comedy that leaves the audience with a lesson learned while keeping it (mostly) lighthearted. The realization at the end makes the journey feel validated.

"Not to mention the acting chops of Carrey and Freeman. Just a hilarious, sad, and ultimately wholesome film."

Another penned: "Forgot how brilliant it was." A third chimed in with: "It's on my list of movie scenes I wish I could forget and watch for the first time again."

Meanwhile, another fan shared: "I love that movie. Unfortunately, people just forgot about it."

For those who haven't had the pleasure, Bruce Almighty hit the screens back in 2003. This American fantasy comedy flick stars Jim Carrey as Bruce Nolan - a TV reporter down on his luck who ends up complaining to God, portrayed by Morgan Freeman.

Feeling underappreciated, he's handed the almighty task of playing God himself for a week. The film also features Jennifer Aniston, Philip Baker Hall and Catherine Bell among its star-studded cast.

Upon its release over two decades ago, critics gave Bruce Almighty a mixed reception. Despite this, it was a box office hit, raking in a heavenly $86.4 million during its opening weekend.

Time is ticking for those wanting to catch the film, as it's due to vanish from Netflix come April 1. So, if you're eager to see what the hype is about, you'd better be quick.
