The 2015 Awards season really kicks off this weekend with the Golden Globes.
Sunday's glitzy affair will be the 72nd annual awards ceremony attracting all the glamour of Hollywood to the Beverly Hills Hilton as the best of film and TV is honoured.
Last year's ceremony will be remembered for Amy Poehler snogging Bono, Cate Blanchett's funny speech and Emma Thompson kicking off her painful heels - but what will this year have in store?
The awards are guaranteed to be one of the most star-studded events of the Hollywood calendar with the red carpet fashion almost as important as the films.
The nominations were finally revealed last month giving British viewers plenty of reasons to tune in to Saturday's ceremony and especially when it comes to the drama category.
The shortlist for Best film, drama is as follows:
The coming-of-age drama written and directed by Richard Linklater uses footage of the same cast filmed over the course of 12 years.
The drama stars Patricia Arquette, Ellar Coltrane, Lorelei Linklater and Ethan Hawke capturing important family milestones including family meals, road trips, birthday parties and graduations.
The unusual filming method was a big hit with critics and audiences alike with fans praising the telling of the journey from boy to man.

Benedict Cumberbatch is a strong contender for his role as mathematician Alan Turing who helped crack the Enigma code.
Cumberbatch leads an all-star cast including Charles Dance, Matthew Goode and Keira Knightley as the mathematician's fiancee.
But the film also shows the downfall of a national hero as in 1952 the mathematician was arrested and convicted of homosexuality, chemically castrated and later committed suicide.

Based on real events the film tells the compelling tale of how one of America's best wrestlers was murdered by a millionaire who had helped bankroll his career.
Channing Tatum stars as Olympic Wrestling Champion Mark Schultz, whose brother David, Mark Ruffalo, was murdered by sports enthusiast John du Pont.
Based on Mark Schultzs autobiography of the same name, the true story follows his journey to find justice for his brothers death.
Betting: 20-1.
Civil rights movie Selma, which tells the story of the life of Martin Luther King stars British actor David Oyelowo as the activist and Tom Wilkinson as President Lyndon B Johnson.
The film is based on the 1965 Selma to Montgomery voting rights marches led by King, James Bevel, Hosea Williams and John Lewis.
Although the drama avoids quoting from King directly, believed to be due to fears of legal action from the activist's family, critics have said it captures the essence of the civil rights hero.
Betting: 11-1.
