Gypsy-Rose Blanchard hit back at her trolls during her first UK TV interview today.

A victim of Munchausen by proxy, Gypsy-Rose endured a childhood of invasive surgeries and treatments, with her mother Dee Dee Blanchard telling people that her seemingly ill daughter had everything from chromosomal disorders to muscular dystrophy.

In reality, Gypsy-Rose was perfectly healthy and did not need to use a feeding tube or wheelchair. In 2015, after Dee Dee began to tighten her control, Gypsy-Rose and her then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn planned and orchestrated Dee Dee's murder, with the then 23-year-old believing this was her only chance of escape.

Now, the 32-year-old, who was released from prison after eight years in 2023, is telling her own story, with new docuseries Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up set to shed some light on what her life looks like nowadays.

During an interview with This Morning star Josie Gibson today, Gypsy-Rose explained how she didn't want any of the fame that has come with her time in jail. She explained to Josie: "I have lots of regrets. Lots of things I would change. but that's on my conscience. The emotional and mental regret that I have to live with goes for the rest of my life."

"It's been a whirlwind for the last five months. I've gone through a lot of changes in my every day life, in my love life and in my home life. The last five months have been quite an adjustment," she added.

Gypsy-Rose also opened up about her new documentary and says it dispels any "misunderstandings". She added: "With our show, people will be able to be a fly on the wall and feel like they were in the room with me. They will be able to make their own assumptions of what happened in the last five months. Instead of just reading here and there about it."

She is, of course, referring to her hanging out with The Kardashians as well as attending red carpet events and becoming a viral sensation on TikTok. Of her time with the Kardashians, she insisted: "This was sort of put on me before I got out of prison. I think my story had reached a lot of people and so I came out into society not expecting the level of fame that was around me.

"Sharing my story was a very selfless thing that I'm doing. There was never any intentions of wanting fame out of it. As for the Kardashians, that was to talk about prison reform - so again another selfless act, that wasn't for any attention but to highlight what prisoners go through on a daily basis. We are similar in the ways of labels get put on her and labels get put on me and so to see the woman behind the label, I was actually surprised she was so down to earth and relatable."

Gypsy-Rose concluded her interview by insisting she wanted to be "normal" before adding that it was not a choice for her and it was "out of control". She said she chose to say her story and "set the record straight going forward".
