Actor Kelvin Fletcher swapped the hustle and bustle of city life for the rolling countryside when he decided to pursue a career in farming. The Oldham-born actor made the life-changing move after winning Strictly Come Dancing in 2019 with professional partner Oti Mabuse.

His new chapter became the focus of ITV's Fletchers' Family Farm, which premiered in October 2023 and follows Kelvin, his wife Liz and their young family as they adapt to running a working farm.

After years of playing farmer Andy Sugden in Emmerdale, Kelvin is now experiencing the realities of farming away from the cameras. The family's bold relocation struck a chord with viewers, with the debut series of Fletcher's Farm proving a resounding hit, reports Cheshire Live.

Their home is nestled in the picturesque Cheshire village of Wincle, just a stone's throw from Macclesfield and bordering the Peak District National Park.

Kelvin and his Liz took the reins of a farm in the Peak District in 2022, where they now juggle managing the 120-acre property with raising their four children - Marnie, Milo, and twin boys Mateusz and Maximus.

While the farm doesn't welcome visitors on a regular basis, Kelvin and Liz have opened their doors to the public for special occasions over the years. They've previously arranged open days, including a festive celebration at Christmas, with tickets made available for booking.

The pair first threw open the farm gates to visitors in 2023 for a spring lambing experience, which Kelvin subsequently described as an "amazing experience".

The family welcomed guests back in 2024 for a special Easter-themed occasion. While there's been no confirmation of a Christmas event this year, no public visiting dates are currently on offer.

ITV has revealed that two new series are underway(Image: ITV)

Last month, ITV confirmed it has commissioned two additional series of Fletchers' Family Farm following its exceptional performance, having racked up 6.3 million streams on ITVX so far this year.

Sharing their excitement on the show's return, Leanne Clarke, Assistant Commissioner for ITV Entertainment & Daytime said: ''The response to this show has been incredible, so were thrilled to return to the farm for two more series. The show continues to capture family life in all its chaos and charm and theres plenty more laughter, hard work and unforgettable moments still to come.''

Meanwhile, Kim Metcalfe, Series Producer from Daisybeck Studios, said: We're absolutely thrilled to be returning to the farm for two more series. The continued success of the series across both ITV and ITVX is a testament to the warmth, humour and authenticity at the heart of the Fletcher family.
