Big Brother: AJ confirms rule breaking and punishment

Big Brother has confirmed that Hallie and Olivia did rule break on Wednesday's episode after they appeared to share their nominations with each other.

The news was revealed on spin-off show, Big Brother: Late & Live, by host AJ Odudu as she revealed that the two housemates will be receiving a punishment on Thursday's episode.

The host, 35, said: "I can confirm that we've only had a blooming rule break! Big Brother caught Hallie and Olivia drawing housemates' names on each other's backs but don't worry, this didn't effect the outcome of this week's nominations."

AJ then teased: "You'll have to tune in tomorrow at 9pm to find out how Big Brother will deal with these two... punishment time!" It comes as fans were left furious on Wednesday's episode as Hallie and Olivia appeared to "rule break".

During the latest episode, it was revealed that Henry and Zak will be the next housemates to face the public vote ahead of Friday night's second live eviction of the series. Prior to this, the housemates were all summoned to the Diary Room, where they had to nominate two of their housemates for eviction.

Zak received five nominations from Hallie, Kerry, Chanelle, Jenkin and Henry while Henry received four nominations from Dylan, Olivia, Noky and Jenkin. However, viewers were left both distracted and furious during the scenes as they spotted Hallie and Olivia appearing to "rule break" as they seemingly shared their nominations with each other.

The two appeared to write names and letters on each other's backs as in one scene Olivia said: "N? O?" as Hallie quickly replied: "Okay, stop spelling now!" to which Olivia went: "Yep, yep, got you!" Viewers were left outraged as they accused the duo of "rule breaking" and asked what Big Brother would be doing about it.

Taking to social media, one person said: "@ itv @bbuk Hallie and Olivia communicated to each other who they voted for. What are you going to do about it? #BBUK" while a different account put: "@bbuk is Olivia and Hallie not going to get in trouble for breaking the rules and spelling their nominations in secret?? #bbuk".

Elsewhere, one person wrote: "Unfair that Olivia and Hallie havent faced any consequences for speaking in code about their nominations #BBUK", a different fan put: "So Olivia and Hallie are going to get away with the secret codes situation? #BBUK" while another added: "Why are you @bbuk NOT bringing up Olivia & Hallies secret coding as they were talking about nominations which is AGAINST the rules, is it not??? #BBUK #BigBrotherUK."

However, thanks to Big Brother: Late & Live, it has now been confirmed that the duo did indeed rule break and will face a punishment on Thursday's show.
