Van Der Valk Season 4 is finally on the way and everyones favourite Dutch detective has more shocking cases to crack.
Van Der Valk will once again see actor Marc Warren back on our screens as the cynical, street-wise detective whose sole mission is to keep Amsterdam safe.
Three years have gone by since UK viewers have been treated to the drama with the fourth outing already out in the States since 2024. As Van Der Valk Season 4 finally lands in the UK, here is everything there is to know about the new series.
The wait is almost over as Van Der Valk Season 4 is set to make its big debut this weekend, Sunday, August 2, at 8pm, on ITV.
This will be the first of three feature-length episodes with a running time of two hours, with the other two set to air over the next couple of Sunday nights.
Band of Brothers star Marc Warren will once again lead the cast as its titular star Piet Van Der Valk.
He will be joined by Maimie McCoy as Lucienne Hassell, Darrell DSilva as Hendrik Davie, Emma Fielding as Julia Dahlman and Azan Ahmed as Sergeant Eddie Suleman.
A new face being welcomed into the fold this time is Dear Child actress Kim Riedle who portrays Van Der Valks ex-girlfriend Sergeant Kalie Tenkers.
As previously mentioned, Van Der Valk Season 4 comprises of three feature-length episodes, each one revolving around a head-scratching case:
Each of the three episodes delves into a different investigation, with Episode One about a whistle-blower in police protection who is murdered after trying to bring down the matriarch of a criminal empire.
Episode Two, Hope in Amsterdam, delves into the murder of an environmental campaigner on the eve of a global conference.
Meanwhile, the third and final episode, Secrets in Amsterdam, sees a young scientist killed after researching a possible cancer treatment breakthrough.
On top of each of the cases, Van Der Valk deals with a past romance resurfacing, as well as trying to find a way to make one of his beloved team members confront their own morality.
Van Der Valk premieres on Sunday, August 2, at 8pm, on ITV.
