A heartbreaking marriage split might be confirmed in new Emmerdale spoilers.

Jimmy King and his wife Nicola King married in 2010. But 16 years in, and reports of a shocking death hinted they would be torn apart.

Now, new spoilers have backed this theory but by a different means. New spoilers for next week confirm Nicola is worried about her marriage to Jimmy, having lost the excitement in their relationship.

Jimmy does his best to win her over but it doesn't go to plan and instead, Nicola ends up suspecting Jimmy is cheating on her in a socking betrayal. So will one of the soap's longest surviving couples come to the end of the road?

It remains to be seen whether Jimmy and Nicola can remain together, amid reports of a death ahead for poor Jimmy. The spoiler lines read in full: "Nicola has worried her love life with Jimmy is stale, so Jimmy organises a date, which delights Nicola.

"Her excitement soon fades by what he has planned and how he hopes to spend their shared extra time together. When Jimmy brings his golf clubs to the caf, Nicola shoves them and a jewellery box clatters out.

"Certain Jimmy wouldn't be so romantic, Nicola fears the gift is for someone else. Who is the jewellery for and how will Jimmy handle this?"

It follows the recent claims that Jimmy will be leaving the show and will be killed off. It was reported that actor Nick Miles was axed from the role after two decades.

It's said Jimmy and Nicola's children Elliot and Angelica, who have been offscreen for months, will be back for the fallout of Jimmy's demise. Emmerdale and actor Nick have not yet confirmed the death, but reports suggest it ties in with the return of Jimmy's ex-wife Sadie King, played by Patsy Kensit.

Patsy has reprised her role and is back filming, while her return scenes are yet to air. Jimmy's exit is thought to be tied into a summer stunt on the show.

Radio Times claimed he would be onscreen until Autumn, with the stunt seeing other lives in the balance. As for Sadie's comeback, soap boss Laura Shaw hinted it will be explosive.

She said: We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Patsy Kensit back to the cast and crucially to see the iconic Sadie King storm back into the village. Sadies seductive demeanour, combined with her utterly ruthless nature, are set to deliver a spectacular and highly dramatic touch of class to the Yorkshire Dales.
