Love Island star 'signs up for All Stars after sibling lets slip he's going on show'

He's not been lucky in love the past three times he's gone on the show - but footballer Scott vanderSluis is rumoured to be doing Love Island All Stars in January

Love Island's Scott vanderSluis is reportedly set to return for the All Stars series when it kicks off January. The 24-year-old footballer is no stranger to appearing on the show - having first entered the villa as a bombshell in the 2023 series in season 10.

He finished in sixth place with Abi Moores when they were sent home from the ITV show just before the final, which was later won by Jess Harding and Sammy Root.

A month later it was a bit of a surprise to see him pop up on Love Island USA. But sadly the Welshman didn't make much of an impression as he was dumped from the island after just a week.

That same year, Scott also competed in the Love Island Games - the dating show's first ever spin off show. But again, he didn't fare well and was dumped from the villa after only three days.

But despite his past woes, the goalkeeper is said to be making a return to Love Island when the All Stars series kicks off in South Africa in the New Year to have another shot at finding a partner.

How did the cat get out the bag? It's all down to his older brother Jamie Reed apparently. The 38-year-old is said to have told strangers at a bar in Leeds that Scott was going on the show again.

A source told The Sun: "He was a bit tipsy and, to make small talk with younger people, he started telling them about his younger brother, Scott. He said, 'You must know Scott - he was on Love Island', and they did.

"But I think Scott coming back will make brilliant telly because he's controversial and conventionally attractive."

And it's not just Love Island that Scott has appeared on. Fans may have spotted him as a familiar face when he appeared on Netflix dating series, Perfect Match, earlier this year.

Though he again didn't find love on the show, it was thought he had a girlfriend over the summer after he was spotted larking around with co-star Juliette Porter in a flirty manner once the show had ended.

But if the rumours are true, Scott is still looking for love and will be appearing on this year's Love Island All Stars. Though he very nearly almost appeared on the 2025 version of the show before pulling out last minute.

Taking to his Snapchat at the time, he told fans that he had planned to join All Stars earlier this year. In a video posted to the app, he said: "I was going to do [All Stars]. I pulled out two days before the show started for various reasons. I sat down with my family and there was quite a few reasons why I decided to go against it.

"But I was on FaceTime to [Luca Bish] every day for about two months straight before he went on. He had lost [access to] his phone by the time I'd pulled out so he doesn't actually know that I'm [not] going in there. He is still expecting me to go in!"

ITV are yet to reveal the exact start date for Love Island: All Stars 2026, but based on the last two seasons it's likely to be the second week of January, most likely Monday, January 12.

Other stars said to be joining him for the All Stars show are Millie Court and Liam Reardon, who broke up earlier this year. Curtis Pritchard, Whitney Adebayo, Remell Mullins, Ronnie Vint, Harrison Solomon, Andrada Pop, Emma Munroe and Lauren Wood.
