Fans of Nicola Walker just got their first look at the Unforgotten and The Split stars latest project.
The Last Tango in Halifax star will be leading Hulu and Disney+s forthcoming comedy-drama Alice and Steve, which is being billed by the streaming platform as the ultimate wrong-com and a must-watch.
Walker plays mother Alice, who is left devastated when her 26-year-old daughter Izzy (played by Yali Topol Margalith) starts dating her best friend Steve (Jemaine Clement).
Alice does everything in her power to end the blossoming romance between the two, knowing that shes likely to lose her daughter and best friend in one go.
A Disney+ subscribtion now starts at 5.99 per month and provides access to hit series like Rivals, Only Murders in the Building and The Bear, plus countless titles from Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar and more.
However, Steve is ready for the fight and will give as good as he gets when their once-perfect friendship becomes an all-out feud, according to Disney+.
A summary for the show goes on to state: A hilarious, messy, and complicated exploration of friendship, family, and love, Alice and Steve is an anti-romantic comedy that asks the question, how far would you go for love - or revenge?
Will Alice forgive Steve? Will Steve and Izzy make a relationship work? Amongst all the questions hanging in the balance, one thing is certain; their lives will never be the same again.
Along with Walker, Flight of the Conchords star Clement and Margalith of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder fame, Alice and Steve features an impressive cast, including Our Flag Means Death and Twenty Twelve star Joel Fry as Daniel, Tyrese Eaton-Dyce from Sherwood, The Crowns Marcia Warren, Dope Girls actress Eilidh Fisher, and Ebony Aboagye from The Conjuring: Last Rites.
The show consists of six half-hour episodes that will be landing on Disney+ this summer for audiences to enjoy.
Alice and Steve marks once played one of Walkers more comedic roles after Unforgotten, River, and Annika.
The series has been created by Sophie Goodhart, who previously worked on Sex Education and comes from Clerkenwell Films, which was behind Netflixs breakout hit Baby Reindeer.
Meanwhile, Tom Kingsley, who previously helmed Channel 4s hit sitcom Stath Lets Flats has directed Alice and Steve.
The show will have its world premiere at Canneseries 2026 later this year.
Alice and Steve will be released on Disney+ this summer
