Reality TV fans are celebrating after a huge update regarding Teen Mom UK.

Beginning in 2016, the beloved reality show is a spin-off of the US version, Teen Mom. It recently aired its thirteenth season starring former teenage mums Amber Butler, Chloe Patton, Mia Boardman and Sassi Simmonds.

In a blow for the fanbase, Sassi confirmed that series 13 would be her very last as she made the move to focus instead on her social media career. At the time, she told fans: "This journey changed my life and I'll always be proud to have shared it with you all.

"But now it's time for growth, peace, bigger goals and a whole new era. Trust me... we're only just getting started."

In the wake of series 13's finale, fans have been filling the void with Teen Mom UK: Next Generation which follows a completely different set of mums who are right at the start of their motherhood journey.

However, there has been an exciting update for fans of the original UK show as a release date for series 14 has finally been unveiled - and there isn't long to wait.

Paramount Plus has confirmed that the fourteenth series of Teen Mom UK will begin on September 1 this year. Its synopsis teases: "Its been 10 incredible years of Teen Mom UK!

"This series we see the return of an old face which means an emotional time for the girls. Its a mix of celebrations, heartbreak and friendship but most importantly the highs and lows of being a mom."

The old face in question is Shannon Wise who replaces Sassi in the cast line-up. She originally joined the cast in series four before leaving in 2020 ahead of the seventh season. Meanwhile fan favourites Amber Butler, Chloe Patton, and Mia Boardman will once again return.

Discussing the update on Reddit, one fan penned: "Yessss! Awwww I was hoping that Shannon or Megan would return one day! Thats awesome!" Meanwhile a second added: "Omg no way thats so exciting."

"Aw thats good, will be nice to get an update on how shes doing," a third fan remarked about Shannon's return.

Teen Mom UK series 14 will be available to stream from September 1 on Paramount Plus.
