N-Dubz star Fazer has confessed there came a point when he stopped watching the 2024 season of ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! - despite bandmate Tulisa Contostavlos appearing on the show.
Along with Dappy, real name Costadinos Contostavlos, 37, Fazer, whose real name is Richard Rawson, and Tulisa, 36, formed N-Dubz in 2000 and to date have released four albums, including the 2023 offering Timeless. While Dappy and Tulisa are cousins, Fazer was part of the band as their friend - while a romance blossomed between him and Tulisa from 2010 until 2012.
The 37-year-old singer is now in a happy romance with girlfriend Ashley Havelin with whom he shares four children; Ava, 11, twins Zariah and Zaviar, 22 months, and youngest son Zander, seven months. Last month, Tulisa appeared on ITV's I'm A Celeb, placing her firmly back in the TV spotlight years after she was a judge on The X Factor.
Fazer has admitted he tuned in to watch the show while Tulisa was in it - and also revealed he gamely voted for her to take part in stomach churning trials. But the I Swear singer has also explained there came a point where he turned off I'm A Celeb and did not tune back in.
Opening up to the Daily Mail, he revealed: "We watched it until she got kicked out and then I stopped watching. There was no need for me to be watching this anymore. Now my band member's not in it anymore it's not gonna interest me as much!" Tulisa was the third star to get voted off the show, exiting the jungle at the beginning of December.
And it seems she can thank, or rather blame, Fazer for voting for her to do Bushtucker Trials. He admitted: "Of course, I did! She probably would have done the same for me!"
Reflecting on the earlier years of N-Dubz - who split in 2011 but reformed in 2022 - Fazer said it was never awkward between the trio when he and Tulisa started to date. But he did admit to having to play as a peacekeeper during some moments in the band's history.
He said of his co-stars: "They're blood cousins, they're like brother and sister, grew up in the same house. So where I came in, I was like a mediator between the two. Sometimes they'd be knocking heads and I have to step in and be like, 'Yo, come on, we got things to crack on with, now's not the time for it'. Then 20 minutes later it'd be alright. It was like they never had an argument, like hugging and kissing."
N-Dubz had one number one single during their career so far - a track titled Number 1 which they performed with Tinchy Stryder. Other hits for the band include the top 10 tracks I Need You, and We Dance On, featuring Bodyrox.
