The Dark Side of the Moon is the eighth studio album by the English rock band Pink Floyd, and is among the most critically acclaimed records in history,
propelling the band to international stardom. The album dealt with the bands intense and pressured lifestyle and that of former member Syd Barrett. Guitarist Dave Gilmour has said that there would not have been a Dark Side of the Moon without Syd Barrett.
It was promoted with two iconic singles: "Money" and "Us and Them", and has sold a reported 46 millions copies since it's release in 1973.
