Jill Dando, English journalist, television presenter and newsreader was murdered on 26th April 1999 at the doorway of her
house in Gowan Avenue, Fulham, South West London. At that time in her career, she was presenting BBC Television's Crime Watch.
A local man, Barry George, was convicted and imprisoned for the murder, but after eight years in prison he was acquitted following an appeal and retrial.
No other suspect has been charged with Dando's murder and the case remains unsolved, though many theories have surfaced as to what actually happened on that morning.
