The winners of Love Island 2026 have addressed rumours they have already split in their first TV interview together.

It's been exactly one week since ITV celebrated the final episode of the 13th season live and direct from the villa. This followed eight weeks and more than 30 contestants in total experiencing many dramatic twists and love triangles.

In the end, Julia and Lorenzo came out victorious from the public vote with Jasmine and Kavan named runners-up. Meanwhile Angelista and Simba came in third place.

All the finalists made an appearance to discuss their villa experience on the latest instalment of This Morning. Monday's edition (August 3) was hosted by comedian and Take Me Out presenter Paddy McGuinness alongside former Big Brother contestant Josie Gibson.

This marked the first time that Lorenzo and Julia have seemingly spoken out to the public since they earned their win. Fans have noticed they are the only finalists to have been mostly silent on social media.

Asked about what it was like to be named winners, Lorenzo said: "It's just nuts. It's the biggest compliment I think to have gone in there and been ourselves. It's just crazy it's come to an end.

"I don't think it's really sunk in. It was the best feeling ever, we've had the best time. I watched the first episode and thought it was fun."

Josie then addressed the rumours circulating online that Lorenzo and Julia had split, and asked the pair directly if there was any truth behind it. Issuing a relationship update, Lorenzo explained: "As we've left the villa we're still in the same place."

He continued: "We're exclusively dating. Honestly it's been a crazy few days and everything just needs to settle down and we're going to go on some lovely dates."

While he denied they are yet to say they love each other, unlike Jasmine and Kavan, he shared: "It's going that way. Feelings are developing. Everything is going in the right direction."

However, Julia was then asked for her take and she caused a reaction as she hesitantly began: "Erm." She then revealed that the pair had spent some time apart since the night of the final and she was still awaiting their first official date in the outside world.

She asked Lorenzo directly: "Where are the dates? When was the last time we saw each other?"

A nervous and laughing Lorenzo told her he was planning a night out at a rooftop bar, to which Julia quickly questioned: "When? It's been five days!"

He also reasoned that he has spent some time catching up with relatives and close friends as he has not seen them for 10 weeks.

Asked about their plans for the prize money, Lorenzo joked: "We're going to have a 50,000 date." Before they then revealed they actually intend to spoil themselves with a watch and a 'nice pair of heels' to remember their experience before also using the cash to treat friends and family.
