Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are nationally televised in all 44 of the 2026 regular season games, which includes Wednesday night's showcase north of the border against the expansion Toronto Tempo.
Clark continues to bring out massive audiences: Sunday's Fever game against Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream drew an ESPN-WNBA record 2.6 million viewers (on average).
ESPN once again hosted Clark on Wednesday, but the broadcast was quickly spoiled. Some viewers took to X to say the broadcast was full of technical difficulties. "CC done broke ESPN," one fan cheekily joked,
"Im suing ESPN for all the difficulty their technical difficulties have caused me. Im seeking technical damages," another remarked.
More were frustrated. "ESPN Im not in the mood," one said. "Get your ---- together, Im trying to watch the Fever play," a second fan tweeted.
Sound issues were among the major issues. "I need ESPN to fix the fever and tempo broadcast during halftime. I didnt hear a damn thing [play-by-play announcer] Ryan [Ruocco said]," they pleaded.
Ruocco acknowledged the technical difficulties. By the way, we appreciate your patience with us tonight. I know, just like a moment ago," he explained.
"There are different times where youre seeing hits on your screen, or its freezing, or you lose your voice. And believe me, its as frustrating for us as it is for you, so we appreciate your patience with the technical difficulties.
The Tempo welcomed a sold-out crowd for Clark and the Fever. The Indiana star admitted pre-game that this was her first time north of the border.
This is my first time in Canada in general. So, it's been cool to be here and experience the culture and be in Toronto and experience the city," she shared.
"So just super excited about that. Obviously, I've traveled internationally and played in a lot of different places. And, I think it's really fun to just see different personal worlds and basketball thats whats so amazing about it.
Clark and the Fever enter Wednesday's contest having won four straight games to climb atop the Eastern Conference Standings and to slot fourth in the WNBA playoff picture. Clark herself is coming off yet another WNBA Player of the Week award win.
