Jailed teacher, 28, sued by teen boy she raped after heinous sex acts destroyed his faith in God

A PREDATORY teacher who was jailed for raping an underage student in her classroom destroyed her victim’s faith in God, a lawsuit claims.

Brooke Anderson, 28, has been hit by a civil lawsuit accusing her of performing “heinous sex acts” on the student just months after she was jailed for the crimes.

The student claims he suffered “permanent psychological injuries” as a result of the inappropriate relationship in the complaint.

The experience also destroyed the boy’s faith in God, the lawsuit alleged.

Anderson, who taught biology in Florida and grew up in a $1.2m Rhode Island mansion, pleaded guilty to several charges including three counts of unlawful sexual activity.

Her relationship with the student began when he would eat lunch in the science teacher’s classroom during his first two years at Riverview High School in Tampa.

But then Anderson began to text the boy messages of a very graphic, sexual nature”, the lawsuit alleges.

The trend escalated during his senior year, with Anderson allegedly sending the boy “sexually provocative” images in April 2025, the suit claimed.

She raped him in her classroom the next month, the complaint alleges.

The student was a year under Florida’s age of consent when Anderson sexually abused him, the suit claims.

She first began grooming the teen in 2021, the suit alleges.

Her victim is seeking $100,000 in damages from the former teacher in the lawsuit filed two months into her 30 month sentence.

The former student claims that Andersons guilty plea strengthens his case against her, according to the complaint.

The lawsuit also seeks $50,000 from the Hillsborough County School Board for commercial negligence for hiring Anderson.

Anderson was booked into jail on May 16 2025 just hours after allegedly having sex with the boy.

The pair had sex before the school day got underway, according to theHillsborough County Sheriffs Office.

Cops described the teachers alleged behaviour as criminal and calculated.

Her actions are criminal, calculated, and deeply disturbing, sheriff Chad Chronister said.

This teacher betrayed the trust of a student, a school, and an entire community.
