Gladiator Giants ex Taylor Ryan opens up about their split and how shes moving forward

AN OnlyFans model has told how she was callously dumped over the phone by Gladiator Giant who then vanished with his costume from the hit BBC show.

Taylor Ryan discussed marriage and having children with the TV hero but now says: Hes just a fake.

After splitting he left his clothes at her house but took his costume.

The 28-year-old began dating the man mountain, real name Jamie Bigg, ten months ago.

The romance was so serious that Jamie, 40, quit the programme after being issued with a its her or us ultimatum by the corporations bosses.

But now the pair have split after he ditched her by phone amid suggestions hunky Bigg is bidding to return to the hit prime-time show.

Taylor said: Hes left loads of clothes at my house, but just taken his blue and red Gladiators costume and memorabilia.

At the time, he was portrayed as a noble man who fights for what he believes in. But deep down, it was never what he believed in.

Its hard to talk about now because I see the full picture and Im like, it was all just fake.

He has a lot of demons he needs to fight in his own head before he ruins another womans peace.

Back in April, Jamie blasted BBC chiefs after he was ordered to dump Taylor or lose his job.

The telly star was informed Taylors role as an online adult content creator conflicted with the shows family-friendly image.

Jamie told The Sun on Sunday at the time: I had to choose between dating Taylor and keeping my job.

The BBC tried to ruin my relationship for the needs of the show and dropped me like a rock when it suited them.

But despite him taking a stand against the corporation, Taylor revealed it was her job which caused their relationship to fall apart after he grew jealous.

She said: It was my job. Thats what it came down to for him.

Me taking selfies would be a problem. He would be like, Whos that for? If its for work, I can compartmentalise that.

But if its not for work, then who are you taking it for? I was taking them for myself. I feel pretty.

And Taylor revealed she feels betrayed after she and 6ft 5in Giant appeared on Good Morning Britain together and Jamie stood up for her.

She said: To get us to appear on TV and be so proud of me publicly, then shame me behind closed doors, is something I dont think I will be able to forgive.

The couple first met at a Gladiators Live event in Sheffield.

Taylor, from Exeter, Devon, was there as she was a fan of the show, which was initially a massive hit in the Nineties before being revamped by the BBC in 2024.

She said: There were women hanging off him all the time.

Being in the gym, or out on a date, there was a lot that came with his job. For me, I thought, Youre my team-mate. I was always smiling and I always took the pictures, because thats his job.

“I got professionally snubbed once at an event where a woman was introduced to him and didnt acknowledge my existence at any point until I reached my hand over to introduce myself.

“That happened a couple of times.

But the pair hit the rocks in May.

She said she increasingly felt she had to minimise parts of herself during the relationship, including her comedy, social media content and adult work. Taylor said: I couldnt be myself and that started to really get to me.

“I felt like my work was only acceptable when it suited him, while I was always expected to support his career. 

Taylor said: The red flags started to pop up within a couple of months.

He was pretty much moved in. Pretty much all of his clothes were at mine. He had all his stuff delivered to mine.

I had to minimise myself quite a lot. Im big into comedy and my humour is quite crude and it always has been.

“If I told a story on Instagram that was kind of crude, he would tell me to delete it because it didnt portray him well.

But it had nothing to do with him, it was a sexual joke about someone else. I couldnt be myself and that started to really get to me.

I started documenting what happened and whenever I had a bit of a breakdown and was crying I would look back on those videos to remind myself, This is how you feel. This is how you really feel.

He started to be really off with me. A dog shelter Im connected to asked if I could foster a litter of puppies that just came in.

I spoke to Jamie and was like, Do you want to foster your first dog with me? and he said yes.

But then he didnt want to be with me on that weekend. All those plans got cancelled.

I thought, This is really strange, why is he being this way?

The week before that, we were in the Dolomites, in Italy, and I needed to get some content.

I brought a nice underwear set with me, which he never had a problem with before. I remember asking if he could take a couple of pictures of me on the balcony and the looks he was giving me were so demeaning.

“I felt so ashamed and so ugly. Then he made a comment, This isnt a work trip.

But he had been working on the trip and it was a work trip.

We were paid to do all the content there. It was literally a work trip, but it was only OK when it was his work.

He was saying, Im not proud of you. I cant be the partner that you need fully.

To which I said, I obviously want someone that loves me warts and all. I love you warts and all.

Then, that Saturday, he broke up with me over the phone and sent a follow-up text like it was the minutes of a meeting. That was mental. Then we were on and off for a couple of weeks, which was really stressful.

Taylor, who lives in Liverpool, felt especially duped as they had even talked marriage and having children.

She said: I tried on engagement rings with him.

We werent setting dates, but he made me believe it was going to happen this year.

Now Taylor is determined to move on with her life and work supporting other online content creators.

Taylor said: “She said: I dont want to be defined by a relationship, a breakup or one part of my job. Women are so often reduced to who they were with, what they do for work or the most difficult thing that has happened to them, and there is so much more to all of us than that.

Im getting back to the person I was before I started minimising myself. I feel excited to reconnect with comedy, the causes I care about and the parts of my work that genuinely inspire me.

Taylor is continuing to grow SX Creators, the platform she founded to support and advocate for other adult creators, while using her own following to challenge stigma and encourage women to feel proud of who they are.

She is also looking forward to fostering more dogs and supporting animal charities, creating more comedy-led content, and continuing to raise awareness around ADHD and autism in the hope that others feel less judged or alone.

She added: I feel energised by everything Im working on and genuinely excited about what comes next. Im proud of the work I do, the people I support and the things I care about.

This isnt the end of my story. Its the beginning of something new, and Im moving forward on my own terms.

The brunette beauty added: Ive been doing a lot of meditation and therapy. Im just figuring it out. This isnt the end of my story. Its the beginning of something new.

Yesterday Jamie, who lives in Derby, said: Taylors job was one consideration, but it wasnt the only reason the relationship ended.

I had a lot going on personally following my divorce and not being renewed for Gladiators.

As with any new relationship, you learn what works for you both as time goes on. I have a lot of respect for Taylor and genuinely wish her the best.
