Phoebe was due to perform at Chalk in Brighton today, before heading to play at Bristol’s Electric tomorrow night.

But taking to Instagram, the Scott Street hitmaker shared a picture of herself wearing a black hoodie and in a hospital bed.

Phoebe wrote over the top of the picture: “I got appendicitis for my birthday everything in the UK this week will have to move but I’ll make it up to you!!!!”

The singer kicked off her mini UK tour on Monday, which has seen her play at smaller venues than fans are used to.

The singer will return to bigger venues later this year, when she goes on her UK arena tour.

This will include two dates at London’s O2 Arena in the autumn, as well as playing at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena, Manchester’s Co-op Live, and Glasgow’s OVO Hydro.

Meanwhile, Phoebe’s latest album is her first solo effort in six years, following her last record Punisher, which was released to critical acclaim in 2020.

Since then, she has played with the supergroup Boygenius, and together with them, released The Record in 2023, and also headed out on tour.
