Lee Simmons

Story editor

Lee Simmons first joined WIRED as a freelancer in 2004. A native of Hawaii, he previously worked for The Economist, Harvard University Press, and the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. He also taught at Harvard, where he once quite nearly earned a PhD in economics. His writing for WIRED and other magazines has been widely translated and has appeared in several best-of anthologies. He is also an unabashed thespian.

WIRED is obsessed with what comes next. Through rigorous investigations and game-changing reporting, we tell stories that dont just reflect the momentthey help create it. When you look back in 10, 20, even 50 years, WIRED will be the publication that led the story of the present, mapped the people, products, and ideas defining it, and explained how those forces forged the future. WIRED: For Future Reference.
