"Failed to create component" Error for MapBox control (VS2022)#260

Whenever I try to drag the MapBox control onto my form, it displays this error:

But creating a MapBox control by doing MapBox box = new(); works fine.

SharpMap version I'm using is 1.2.0 on VS 2022, using the .NET Framework v4.8.1.
