In major modes there are many keybindings that execute actions that are really independent of the language you are working with. For example, the document formatting commands are always the same. The problem is that you get used to using ,== to format the document and suddenly you are editing a JSON and it doesn't work because it is not defined for that language. The only solution I've found is to copy the same settings for every language id I'm using... and variations.

Is it possible to define a kind of default Major Mode? A Major Mode for when there is no Major Mode for the current language.
