to make annotations easy. In an annotation, there are two points to
consider: the location being annotated represented by the argument
<codeclass="docutils literal"><spanclass="pre">xy
and the location of the text <codeclass="docutils literal"><spanclass="pre">xytext
. Both of these
arguments are <codeclass="docutils literal"><spanclass="pre">(x,y)
tuples.

In this example, both the <codeclass="docutils literal"><spanclass="pre">xy
(arrow tip) and <codeclass="docutils literal"><spanclass="pre">xytext
locations
(text location) are in data coordinates. There are a variety of other
coordinate systems one can choose – you can specify the coordinate
system of <codeclass="docutils literal"><spanclass="pre">xy
and <codeclass="docutils literal"><spanclass="pre">xytext
with one of the following strings for
<codeclass="docutils literal"><spanclass="pre">xycoords
and <codeclass="docutils literal"><spanclass="pre">textcoords
(default is ‘data’)

keyword args like <codeclass="docutils literal"><spanclass="pre">horizontalalignment
, <codeclass="docutils literal"><spanclass="pre">verticalalignment
and
