Introduction<aclass="headerlink" href="#introduction" title="Permalink to this headline">¶

These pages describe a <aclass="reference external" href="https://git-scm.com/">git and <aclass="reference external" href="https://github.com">github workflow for the <aclass="reference external" href="http://matplotlib.org">matplotlib
project.

There are several different workflows here, for different ways of
working with matplotlib.

This is not a comprehensive <aclass="reference external" href="https://git-scm.com/">git reference, it’s just a workflow for our
own project. It’s tailored to the <aclass="reference external" href="https://github.com">github hosting service. You may well
find better or quicker ways of getting stuff done with <aclass="reference external" href="https://git-scm.com/">git, but these
should get you started.
