GUI neutral widgets<aclass="headerlink" href="#gui-neutral-widgets" title="Permalink to this headline">¶

Widgets that are designed to work for any of the GUI backends.
All of these widgets require you to predefine a <aclass="reference internal" href="axes_api.html#matplotlib.axes.Axes" title="matplotlib.axes.Axes"><codeclass="xref py py-obj docutils literal notranslate"><spanclass="pre">matplotlib.axes.Axes

be too smart with respect to layout -- you will have to figure out how
wide and tall you want your Axes to be to accommodate your widget.
