Proposal:
JPEG XL is a new image format designed to replace JPEG, PNG, GIF, and other formats.
It is already supported in Safari and will be supported in Chrome and Firefox soon.

I've seen this new format quite a lot for comics so I do approve its addition (though I hate it because none of my default applications can read such files...)
