Per the documentation, the HS300 is supported: https://github.com/python-kasa/python-kasa
When I issue the command in a venv of the python module; this is the output I receive:
kasa --host 192.168.xxx.xxx state --child-index 0 Discovering device 192.168.xxx.xxx for 10 seconds Targeting child device Plug 1 == Plug 1 - Socket for HS300(US) == Host: 192.168.xxx.xxx Port: 9999 Device state: True Raised error: 'Time' Run with --debug enabled to see stacktrace
Unsure why the time parameter doesn't work properly,
@Allowencer I already reported this in [#1445]. I am currently working on resolving this but the main device without the child aspect reports the time correctly and should be sufficient until I get the child devices resolved.
@ZeliardM - apologies as I didn't see that at first. Sounds good! I can quickly test whatever you assemble together if you'd like!
I currently do not have a need / use case for the time. Thanks for the work-around advice though.
I'll close this as it's a dupe of that issue.
