HS103: Unable to query the device: unpack requires a buffer of 4 bytes #187
Description
With an HS103 on a local network. Tested with Raspbian/Py3.7 and Windows/Py3.8. Both come back with:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/home/pi/.local/lib/python3.7/site-packages/kasa/protocol.py", line 64, in query
length = struct.unpack(">I", chunk[0:4])[0]
struct.error: unpack requires a buffer of 4 bytes
Worth noting that the hs103 can be discovered.

Could you try if it works with the newest release? If not, this needs more input in form of a packet trace (tcpdump, wireshark).

I can confirm my HS103(US) works perfectly on kasa v0.4.0

Thanks for the report @adamm, let's close this then. @NateRiz if it's still not working for you, it seems that your device is not sending enough data for some reason and that should be investigated further. If that's the case, please try to make a packet trace (e.g., with wireshark) and re-open this issue with some details regarding to what is being send by the device as response to that request.
