Users commonly run into issues where tmuxinator hooks don't function in ways that they might expect. This has been flagged in many issues, but #803 was the most recent.
The ideal solution would be to replace tmuxinator's hooks with a lightweight wrapper around tmux hooks.
In the meantime, however, it would be great to have the README better document how tmuxinator hooks work, when they won't (e.g. tmux split-window) and potential workarounds (i.e. native tmux hooks).
