pyarrow.compute.abs_checked(x, /, *, memory_pool=None)#

Calculate the absolute value of the argument element-wise.

This function returns an error on overflow. For a variant that doesnt fail on overflow, use function abs.

Parameters:

xArray-like or scalar-like

Argument to compute function.

memory_poolpyarrow.MemoryPool, optional

If not passed, will allocate memory from the default memory pool.
