Array.prototype.unshift()

This feature is well established and works across many devices and browser versions. Its been available across browsers since julho de 2015.

Introduo

O mtodo unshift() adiciona um ou mais elementos no incio de um array e retorna o nmero de elementos (propriedade length) atualizado.

Sintaxe

arr.unshift([element1[, ...[, elementN]]])

Parmetros

elementN

Os elementos a serem adicionados no comeo do array.

Retorna

A nova propriedade length do objeto acima onde o mtodo foi chamado.

Descrio

O mtodo unshift insere os valores fornecidos no incio de um objeto do tipo array.

unshift intencionalmente genrico; este mtodo pode ser chamado via call ou apply em objetos que se assemelham aos arrays. Objetos que no contm uma propriedade length que reflete a ltima de uma srie consecutiva de propriedades numricas, iniciada por 0, podem no comportar-se de maneira significativa.

Exemplos

var arr = [1, 2];

arr.unshift(0); // result of call is 3, the new array length
// arr is [0, 1, 2]

arr.unshift(-2, -1); // = 5
// arr is [-2, -1, 0, 1, 2]

arr.unshift([-3]);
// arr is [[-3], -2, -1, 0, 1, 2]
