Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and motivated WordPress Developer to design, develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, themes, plugins, and website performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain responsive WordPress websites.
- Customize WordPress themes and plugins according to project requirements.
- Convert website designs into functional WordPress pages.
- Develop custom WordPress themes and features when required.
- Troubleshoot and fix website errors, bugs, and technical issues.
- Optimize websites for speed, performance, and mobile responsiveness.
- Implement basic SEO and website security best practices.
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and other services when required.
- Manage website updates, backups, and maintenance.
- Ensure websites are compatible across major browsers and devices.
- Work with designers, content teams, and other developers to deliver projects on time.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of WordPress CMS.
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
- Experience with WordPress themes and plugins.
- Experience with page builders such as Elementor or similar tools.
- Understanding of responsive web design.
- Basic knowledge of SEO, website security, and performance optimization.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
- Good communication and time-management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience developing custom WordPress plugins.
- Experience with WooCommerce.
- Knowledge of Git/GitHub.
- Experience working with REST APIs.
- Knowledge of website migration and server/cPanel management.
- Understanding of Core Web Vitals and website optimization.
Experience
13 years of experience in WordPress development is preferred. Freshers with strong practical WordPress skills may also be considered.
Education
Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Computer Science, IT, Web Development, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
