Creeped out Olivia Rodrigo felt 'haunted by spirits' making pop video and says she lives with a friendly ghost

Creeped out Olivia Rodrigo had a spooky run-in shooting a pop video at the Palace of Versailles just outside of Paris, and admits she lives with a ghost back home

Chart-topper Olivia Rodrigo says she felt haunted by spirits making her latest pop video and found the whole experience "creepy".

However, it's nothing new for the star as she claims to live with a 'friendly ghost' at a home. Olivia is on course for another No1 with her acclaimed third album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love.

One of the LP's highlights is Drop Dead accompanied by a music video shot at Palace of Versailles just outside of Paris, a 403 year-old lodging built by King Louis XIII. It's supposed to be one of the most haunted places in France and 'Liv concurs.

'Liv revealed: "It was so incredible. I cant believe that they let me film there it was really wild. It started as kind of a pipe dream of oh, that could be cool one day if I could go and visit Versailles. And it turned into us having the palace all night and being able to film a whole video in it. It was really, really special."

However, prancing around a palace may look fun, at night things got a little spooky: "It was a little creepy.

"I kind of believe in ghosts and Id feel like if I was a ghost Id probably want to haunt the halls of Versailles."

The Palace of Versailles is widely rumoured to be haunted by former royals, most notably King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. "I definitely felt some spirits there," Liv told the Capital Evening Show.

It's not her first run-in as Glastonbury headliner Olivia has to deal with a poltergeist on a daily basis back home: "I'm living in a haunted house right now. But it's fine. Like, love, love, love, the ghost. Like, super nice friendly ghost."

She explained a recent run-in: "My friend was in there alone one time, and was trying to mess with me, and held the phone up to the TV, and was like, 'ghost, if you're in here, like, turn the TV on for Olivia'. Nothing happens. It's like 10 o'clock at night. The TV starts blaring, an old Turner classic movie at full volume, like a movie from the '50s. And she ran out and she was so scared."

The singer is ok with it because she believes they get on: "It's never happened to me, though, because I am respectful. My mum knows a lot about it (the ghost's backstory) but I prefer not to know. I hope I'm not, like, doing Juju saying this - peace and love, peace and love to the ghost.

"And I love living in my house."
