Woman loses 4st 4lb in just a few months without giving up ice cream

Brianna Alexander, 35, said she had been 'stress eating a lot' before making one simple change that transformed her life and relationship with food

We're often fed the idea that to slim down, we must kiss goodbye to all our favourite naughty nibbles. But let's face it, what's a night in front of the telly without a bag of crisps, especially when ditching treats can actually make it tougher to drop the pounds and keep them at bay.

35-year-old Brianna Alexander dropped an impressive four stone four pounds (27kg, 60lbs) without swearing off her beloved snacks by turning to a mobile phone app. She's also managed to maintain her new figure for five years.

Brianna explained: "Throughout this journey I have seen many ups and downs of fasting. Reflecting on my nutrition has really taught me a thing or two on losing weight and how it affects your energy levels, your confidence, and completely transforming your life in terms of working out."

Brianna's also become quite the nutrition buff as a result of the change: "I've actually been able to learn a lot more about my nutrition and some of the things that make you feel better when you eat certain foods, and why you crash after eating a big meal. Things like that I've learned through the Simple app," reports Wales Online.

Brianna's transformation is all down to her revamping her diet with the Simple app, which is now 60% off using the discount code REACH60. This AI-powered coaching app tailors weight loss plans to fit individual lifestyles, activity levels, health ambitions, and timelines, promoting a balanced diet that allows for sustainable results without giving up the joy of occasional indulgences.

The Simple App
Product Description

The Simple App offers daily workouts, advice, dietary assessments and an AI assistant.

"I downloaded the app in 2020 because I didn't really have a sense of where I wanted to go in terms of my fitness goals and my healthy lifestyle goals," Brianna explained.

She realised she was on the wrong track, battling stress eating, bingeing at night, and feeling dissatisfied with her body's appearance and energy levels, relying heavily on caffeine to get through the day and muster the motivation to exercise.

Brianna credits the Simple app for revolutionising her approach to food and transforming her way of life, with its customised diet plans that can incorporate intermittent fasting a regimen of consuming wholesome meals during specific hours and fasting for the rest.

"The first, biggest misconception I had when I started fasting was I would be hungry all the time and it's going to make me really upset and angry," she admitted.

"After I started fasting, I realised that I actually felt hungry the entire time and I couldn't figure out why exactly I was. I eventually did some more digging and the app helped me understand why I was hungry, and that's how I learned about my nutrition.

"My nutrition was very poor and low at the time. Every time you input a food into the Simple app and it gives you a daily nutrition score. As a reflection of a low or bad diet, I was feeling terrible throughout the day, so sleepy and tired and just not my best self."

Brianna revealed that her 2020 health kick was a game-changer after ditching fast food and embracing fruits and veggies. The Simple app became her guru, guiding her through meal planning, shopping lists, and workouts, all while the AI coach Avo cheered her on.

"That was able to be my template of things I should be doing and goals I should have throughout the week," she explained. "All that was tailored to my own personal goals and if you don't know where to start, that's one hundred percent where a new user should start."

She expressed gratitude for the tracking and consistency the app provided, making her journey easier. Despite her love for ice cream, Brianna found a way to indulge smartly without derailing her progress.

"Ice cream used to be one of my biggest weaknesses in terms of not getting the nutrition I needed, but eventually I had found some alternatives that I now eat that provide lower calories and more proteins," she said.

"So I'm not completely without ice cream, I can still have it. But making sure my nutrition is on-point in the most consistent thing about your diet."

There are plenty of other apps out there that help users lose weight in a similar way to Simple. For example, Lifesum is free to download and allows users to track their meals, showing calorie and macro information, with guidance about what to eat and even an intermittent fasting tracker.

Similarly, Noom is a weight loss app that focuses on healthy lifestyle changes and behavioural psychology, with personalised plans and support for users.

Simple takes both elements and pairs the functionality together in a mixture that thousands of users have praised in more than 30,000 Trustpilot reviews with the brand's score an average 4.3 out of 5 stars.

"Scanning your meal makes it so easy. But what I didn't expect was how good coach was at giving great recipes and healthy options to make changes to the recipes," said one user.

Another said: "The app is very informative and helpful in keeping me on track to be successful in reaching my goals regarding my weight loss journey. I have been delightfully pleased with the results I am achieving at this time. I'm glad that I found this particular app. It's truly on point and helpful in my journey in getting to where I want to be physically and mentally."

Yet, not all feedback was glowing, as some users pointed out a few snags. One user suggested: "A tutorial is needed for all the features for optimal use."

Another user admitted: "I am learning a lot, but if I'm honest it is too much checking in. I know this is to help me get on track, but there are times it is just too much."

Meanwhile, another user praised: "The Simple Life App is easy to follow, very useful, and informative. I can definitely see myself using this app long term!".
