'Mums shame me over pretty looks and great figure but they're just jealous'

Amee Gleadell, 35, says she is judged by other mums at baby groups who are not friendly towards her and she believes it's due to "jealousy" over her good looks

A woman has claimed that other mums shame her for her 'natural good looks' and 'figure'.

However, Amee Gleadell says they're just "jealous" because she "doesn't need lip filler" to look attractive. The 35-year-old, from Melbourne in Australia, always takes pride in her appearance.

She makes sure to choose a nice dress and jewellery every day. But the mother of 15-month-old Arthane alleges that other mums judge her at baby groups and are not friendly towards her.

Amee is of the belief that they are simply "jealous" because she doesn't need "lip fillers" or her "hair done" to look good. So she is advocating for an end to judgement based on women's appearances.

Amee, who works as a caterer in Lincoln, East Midlands, stated: "I look after myself, I'm very natural with it. I don't wear much makeup, I'm a natural mum.

"I have a good figure, I wear dresses and sandals it makes me feel better."

She added: "Mums judge you at baby classes. I get looked at I think it is jealousy. People are judging me because I haven't got my lip fillers in or had my hair all done."

After giving birth to Arthane, Amee felt it was crucial to stay in shape for her son. She expressed: "I wanted to chase him round the park.

"A lot of mums sit with their coffee and cake. I thought 'I'm not going to be that mum'."

Amee maintains her fitness by hitting the gym regularly, swimming with Arthane, and doing yoga every morning.

"I eat really well," she said. "I usually have glittery toes. It makes me feel better. It makes me feel happy with myself."

Amee says she's often judged by other mums for not wearing trackies. "I don't know why people don't want to look good or why they can't be bothered," she said. "But you don't know what is going on in other people's lives. We should just be helping each other."

Amee also revealed that she is judged for breastfeeding her son in public and at work. The mum runs a catering business on wheels cooking while her son sits on her hip.

She said: "I take my child to work with me. I breastfeed him there. Pervy men stare at you. Other mums judge you.

"Other people are like 'she is breastfeeding and cooking' and judging me for that. I'm in control, he's not going to burn. It's natural. I shouldn't have to cover up. I was feeding him on the bus. On a bike. At an arcade."

Amee said her husband, Stephen Cefai, 28, a cartoonist, has always loved her "bubbly" personality. She said: "I'm enjoying myself. I want to live forever I know you can't but I have got this zest for life. I want to be an amazing mum and partner."
