As much as many people don't like to admit it, parenting can be tough.

From trying to juggle everything, to balancing finances, to simply finding time to spend with your loved ones - the job in itself can be quite challenging. But one mum said embarking on a raunchy career has helped her to get things in check.

Molly Manning, 49, claims working in the adult industry has made her a better mother. According to her, the only thing holding other mums back from joining her is their "insecurities".

Molly is a mum to a teenage son, and chose to turn to the adult industry during lockdown when she was struggling with work. She now makes $20,000 (16,383.50) a month and loves her financial freedom.

She's able to set her schedule around her son and her priroties. When you are working a 9-5 job, she claims you don't have a whole lot of flexibility for things, but now she says she has more freedom to prioritise her son in a way she couldn't before.

She explained: "I think its tremendously empowering to not have to rely on another person. I hear about a lot of marriages where the man is able to control his wife through money, and I appreciate the fact that I dont have to worry about that."

It was back in December 2022 that she decided to take the leap. At the time, she was struggling to get a lot of work in her pilates job after the pandemic. She'd gone through a rough break up and didn't have a license.

Molly, from Los Angeles, admitted it was a "really hard time", and she had a lot of people throwing her the idea of Only Fans. Eventually, she made an account, as she really needed a job where she could work from home.

At the time, she wasn't in a relationship, so she decided to go for it. Not to mention, the idea of a secret, private platform to "show herself off" was exciting to her.

In an exclusive interview, Molly said: "I shoot a lot of solo videos, but also do a bunch of collaborations with other female adult stars. I'm always excited to try new things.

"Something that is really popular is that my fans do like to see me with younger men. It really is a thing. A lot of young men come on and call me 'mummy'.

"I personally think it's quite funny, and I've never had a guy call me 'mummy' in real life, but I get they might want the nurturing side when I pretend to be their mother. There's that dichotomy of me both being a nurturer, but also having sexual attachment to me."

Though the job might seem quite out there to some, the mum admits it's given her a big financial booster. Now, Molly said she can "definitely provide more", as she's making more money.

She also had more time to be present with her son, which she credits to being financially stable. Over Christmas, she was able to take her boy skiing in France, which allowed them to have some quality time together, and this has been made possible because of her new job.

"I think the personal freedom makes me a better mum," she added. "I can set my own schedule, and I have freedom and flexibility to be present for my son and his school events and all his extracurricular activities and stuff like that.

"So it gives me a really good, flexible schedule for that. When I look back at memories of myself, and I have worked a 9-5, it's never really 9-5. It's always longer.

"I have memories of just being really stressed out, really time poor, getting up in the morning, racing to drop my son off to daycare or school, racing to work then, working all day, racing to get your kid again then cooking, doing chores. It was just really overwhelming, and it's a hell of a lot.

"I do give it to women who have three, four children and manage a career and a husband at the same time. I guess they just have to be extremely, extremely organized.

"I would say I'm definitely a better mum, because I'm not as stressed financially. I also get job satisfaction, which I honestly can say that I don't know I've ever had before."
