The Daily Star: News with a Wink

Alex Warren on track for another HUGE No1 single following BRITs triumphant performance

It almost seems impossible but Alex Warren's new single could be bigger than his mammoth hit Ordinary - He's soaring through the charts just hours after performing at the BRIT Awards

Following his triumphant performance at the BRIT Awards Alex Warren is on course for his second No1 with new tune Fever Dream. The Official Chart: First Look shows that the singer/songwriter is heading for Number 1 yet again after it was released on Friday, and the numbers are looking huge.

If it tops the charts this week it will be his second No1 single after Ordinary spent a mammoth 13 weeks at No1 in 2025, making it the biggest song of the year in the UK. It comes after Alex wowed the audience at the BRITs with a performance of the record-breaking tune and somewhat redeemed himself after his set at the Grammy Awards last month was plagued with technical issues.

Fever Dream has been teased on his socials for weeks with fans begging for him to release it, and reacting to it's incredible response Alex said: "I'm listening to you guys EVERY TIME when I release a new song. I've never had this many streams in one day".

However, Alex's appearance at the BRIT Awards wasn't totally smooth sailing as he found himself being targeted by Jack Whitehall who referred to the U.S star as a "Temu Ed Sheeran", causing his followers to jump to his defence.

One wrote: "I love Jack but that was mean" whilst another said: "wtf Alex Warren is far from that".

Ordinary has also seen a surge of streams following the BRITs and is currently up four places to No15 - He could have two songs in the Top10 come Friday when the charts are released.

Meanwhile, Rein Me In by Sam Fender & Olivia Dean drops one place to Number 2, after it was named Song of the Year at Saturdays ceremony and Bella Kays rapid rise with iloveitiloveitiloveit continues, lifting one spot to Number 3.

Fresh from the release of his new album The Romantic, Bruno Mars I Just Might is up three to 5, in what would be a return to its peak position. New single from the record Risk It All is a midweek new entry at 13.
