Biggest festivals and performances that you can still catch this week across the UK

It's another heatwave in the UK this week and there's plenty going on that's worth stepping out in the glorious sun for just make sure you pack a bottle of water

From pop powerhouses, to comedy heroes and musical legends it's all going on this week - There's plenty of opportunities to soak up the sun too with a host of exciting outdoor events.

One of the UK's most loved independent festivals Boomtown returns to Hampshire on Wednesday until Sunday. This year the line-up is bigger than ever featuring huge artists such as Madness, Scissor Sisters, Kneecap, Skrillex, Faithless , Shaggy and more.

The ultimate family country music festival Country Calling also returns to Chelmsford this week with Tyler Halverson, Parmalee, Randy Houser, Twinnie and former X Factor star Janet Devlin on the bill.

Exciting new girl group XO are bound to prove why they've been dubbed 'Britain's next big thing' with a gig at London's Colours on Wednesday August 12th.

Also on Wednesday NAO will celebrate ten years of her debut album For All We Know at London's NT's Loft.

Meanwhile, Liverpudlians will be treated to a performance by legendary musician Billy Ocean at the Salt & Tar Music Event on Thursday.

Crystal Palace Bowl's summer series provides non-stop entertainment this month - First there's a joint headline set by The Wombats and Bastille on August 13th, followed by an unmissable headline show by Lenny Kravitz the following night, and rounded off on Saturday by a performance from US icons Jimmy Eat World.

Johnny Depp and Joe Perry's supergroup The Hollywood Vampires are also in town this week with performances at London, Cardiff and Scarborough.

Two of the most influential names in music Tom Jones and Nile Rodgers will join forces for a very special gig at Chester Racecourse on Friday, meanwhile that night The Weeknd will also kick off his run at London's Wembley Stadium.

Also in the capital Ariana's residency at The O2 begins on Saturday - With a break planned for the popstar it feels like a must-see moment.

There's also a few opportunities to see Ricky Gervais debut new material at one of his 'Work in Progress' gigs too.

Back in Liverpool Lewis Capaldi will play at Sefton Park joined by incredible support act Loyle Carner.
