Olivia Dean wins refunds for fans who paid too much for concert tickets

Olivia Dean has secured refunds for fans charged too much for her shows. She complained about secondary ticket sellers and now concert goers in the US could get back the difference for anyone who paid over face value.

CHART-TOPPER Olivia Dean has beaten the bots and secured refunds for fans who overpaid for her concert tickets.

Recently the star called out Ticketmaster and other companies for allowing tickets to her US tour to be resold at extortianate prices calling it disgusting and vile.

Now Ticketmaster and AXS has agreed return the extra money fans spent following her criticism.

Olivia revealed: After many conversations with my team, Ticketmaster and AXS have agreed to refund the difference to anyone who has paid over face value for a ticket and will cap all future ticket resale prices to face value for the North American run of the tour.

She continued: Every artist and their team should be granted the option to cap re-sale at face value ahead of on sale, to keep the live music space accessible for all.

"The secondary ticket market is an exploitative and unregulated space and we as an industry have a responsibility to protect people and our community...Im looking forward to seeing all you real humans at the show STOP THE BOTS.

Deans victory follows last weeks news that the UK government would be making it illegal to resell tickets for live music, sports, comedy and theatre events above the original cost. This is set to save fans 112 million per year and avoid another oasis ticket fiasco.

Michael Rapino, the CEO of Live Nation Entertainment, agreed with Liv, We share Olivias desire to keep live music accessible and ensure fans have the best access to affordable tickets.

Olivia Dean is the hottest ticket across the world right now and added three more shows at New Yorks Madison Square Garden to cope with demand.

In the UK she will play six nights at The O2, London next summer in support of her No1 album, The Art Of Loving.

Speaking on her chart success, Olivia said: I feel very grateful and overwhelmed! I love the album I made and Im so proud of myself for making it. But ultimately it is so joyful seeing how much it means to people and how its helping people understand love and loving.
