Beauty queen Tabitha Bennett made history by winning the same pageant as her mum now she hopes to take the Miss England crown too.
Tabitha, 20, was crowned Miss Blackpool last December, 40 years after her mum Vicky.
The pair are believed to be the only ever mother and daughter duo to both reach the Miss England finals in the competitions 97-year history.
And Tabitha who was also crowned Miss Lancashire back in March hopes to go one better than Vicky, who made the top 15 almost four decades ago, at the national competition in November, on her 21st birthday.
She told the BBC: "People think you just rock up on the day and you walk in in a dress, but it's so much more than that. There's an interview then an on-stage question if you reach the top 10. There's an eco round, and a charity round and a publicity award."
She was encouraged to enter the competition by Vicky, who used to compete in swimsuits during the 80s alongside Miss England director Angie Beasley and was once regarded as the most titled beauty queen ever.
She had previously not shown much interest in following in her mum's footsteps, but after competing for just six months, she entered the Blackpool competition and walked away with the top prize on the event's 70th anniversary.
Thrilled Vicky later joined Tabitha on stage for a touching picture sporting the same sash she was crowned in four decades ago. Then in March, Tabitha took the regional crown.
And the glitzy girls revealed they like to use second-hand dresses and accessories or make their own. Vicky said: "The dress that Tabitha won Miss Lancashire in was 50 from a charity shop, but it was a 700 dress.
"We've had girls message [us looking] to rent it. It's a great feeling that we've done it without spending the money."
Tabitha added: "There are girls that have spent 10,000 but we've never done that. You can do that and still not win, and I think there's something really nice about winning in a second-hand dress."
Vicky won 'hundreds' of beauty pageants when she strutted the boards at UK-wide events during her teens and early 20s in the 1980s. Her impressive run saw her scoop the Miss New Brighton crown and also take home the Miss Stoke on Trent and Miss Oldham titles.
But one of her biggest successes came when she won a car and cash prize money after being crowned 'Butlins Holiday Princess at the age of 18.
