Bosses at Hallstein Artesian Water boast that despite being expensive, its water comes from a sealed aquifer beneath the Austrian Alps.

In a promotional blurb, the firm states that its water is perfectly clean, and that there was no price to put on health and wellbeing.

Online critics, however, compared it to the 1992 Only Fools and Horses Christmas special called Mother Natures Son.

In the episode, Del Boy uses water from the tap at his Peckham flat and passes it off as natural spring water, calling it Peckham Spring.

Writing on Hallsteins Facebook page, Jonathan Wintle wrote: Ill stick to Peckham Spring, makes my pee glow in the dark.

David Taperek said: The Trotter brothers up to it again. Danny Platten wrote: Mine comes from Peckham spring - I buy it from a chap called Del Boy. Noel Porter joked: I only ever drink Peckham Spring - you know it makes sense.

Paul OConnor joked: Come on guys - it does have free delivery.

Col Brown said: I used to bathe with Buxton Spring, now only use this - whats the point of living otherwise? Others japed that they washed their car with the water and that it had never been cleaner, while others said their dogs loved it.

Bosses at Hallstein Artesian Water - which sell cases in six packs of 750ml bottles - say its water is perfectly clean and contains no microplastics or PFAS, dubbed forever chemicals.

The ad states: This water costs 110 per case. Heres why.

Youre read the articles about PFAS. You've Googled what's in your tap water. You've stood in the water aisle comparing labels that don't actually tell you anything. And somewhere in the back of your mind, every time you drink a glass of water, there's a small question you can't fully answer Is this actually clean?

One customer said The Trotter brothers up to it again.(Image: BBC)

Hallstein ends that question. Artesian water from a sealed aquifer beneath the Austrian Alps. 8 years underground. Every contaminant tested. Every parameter published. Every batch independently verified. 0.00 mg/L PFAS. 0.00 mg/L microplastics. No filtration needed. No treatment. No uncertainty. Because there's no price on your health & wellbeing. Oh by the way, we offer free at home delivery. Amazon charges even more than buying direct, with six bottles costing a whopping 153.84.
