Football fans were left howling after spotting a Gareth Southgate doppelgnger who turned out to be a German police officer - and his colleague wasn't overly supportive.
The clip went viral on X (formerly Twitter) before England's crunch Euro 2024 semi-final against the Netherlands yesterday (Wednesday, July 10) at Borussia Dortmund's Westfalenstadion. But amid the hilarity, fans also noticed another officer laughing along with the Three Lions fans and even filming his mate taking the brunt of the joke.
Surrounded by a sea of England supporters, the cop who's a dead ringer for Southgate was serenaded with a cheeky version of Atomic Kitten's "Whole Again", specially tweaked to big up Gareth.

Even one of his mates in uniform seemed to be capturing the moment on camera. One person commented: "His colleagues will be calling him Gareth until he retires. He'll never hear the end of it," before attaching an image of the officer filming the scenes.
The original poster had a laugh: "No wonder England won't win anything when Southgate double shifting as a German copper," reports the Express.
One user cracked up: "Lol this has to be AI generated the similarities are too strong."
Another chimed in: "Way too true, and the eyebrow flinch at the end of the video too, similar to Southgate".
Someone else chipped in: "He's loving the attention," and another added: "And fair play. His colleague recording it with a big smile on his face. If that was England the cops would have put a stop to it and arrested anyone who carried on singing."
To top it off, someone else said: "His boss definitely knows and gave him that patch on purpose."
