Home Bargains has launched a new range of summer homeware - and one item in particular has caught shoppers' eyes, thanks to its low price and quirky design

Home Bargains has sent customers into a frenzy with its fresh collection of summer homeware. One plate, in particular has grabbed attention due to its incredibly low cost and vibrant design. The budget-friendly retailer showcased some pieces from its new range on social media, featuring a lobster plate priced at a mere 1.29.

Lobsters have been a massive hit this summer, appearing on dishware from pricier brands such as Yvonne Ellen, Maison Flaneur, and Bliss Home. The Home Bargains plate pledges to "bring a touch of coastal charm to your table" and introduce a "fun and quirky element to your dining experience".

The product description reads: "Perfect for serving seafood or any dish, it's an eye-catching piece that adds personality to any outdoor gathering or meal."

A snap of the plate was posted on Instagram by the store, accompanied by the caption: "New season, new vibe! Ready to turn your home into a summer escape?".

The comments section was inundated with shoppers enamoured by the design - and the bargain price tag. One user exclaimed: "I'm here for the lobsters! ! ! !" Another revealed: "I bought these the other day 1.29 wasn't leaving them for that price.", reports the Liverpool Echo.

A third remarked: "1.29 for that lobster plate! ! Hope I can find it in store this week" and another declared: "Omg the lobbies are a vibe."

The plate also garnered admirers on Facebook, with one shopper confessing: "I don't know what I'd use it for or that I need it but I want that lobster plate lol."

Another commented: "Lobsters! Take my money."

Home Bargains has introduced a lobster-themed candle, retailing at 2.99. The store promises it will "add a splash of summer to your space", courtesy of its mandarin and peach aroma.

"With its sweet, fruity scent and fun lobster design on the glass, it's the perfect pick for a fresh, beachy vibe," the product description elaborates.

The Instagram post also highlighted other items including a shell-shaped dip bowl for 4.99, a shell tumbler for 99p, a palm tree-themed diffuser for 3.99, a cushion for 4.99 and a tropical-patterned picnic blanket for 7.99.

Last month, customers were impressed by a Home Bargains dining set that bore a striking resemblance to a more expensive designer brand's version. The affordable plates and bowls from the Tranquillity Line are akin to Denby's Halo Speckle tableware, which can cost up to 244, as noted by one lifestyle blogger.

Katie, known as @Our_home_on_thehill on Instagram, informed her followers: "Dinnerware that looks designer without the designer price tag. Just how beautiful is this 'tranquillity' dinnerware? !".

The Home Bargains Tranquillity bowl is priced at 1.99, with a side plate at 1.99 and a dinner plate at 2.99. Katie added: "Perfect for elevating your tablescape on a budget, whether it's a cosy dinner for two or spring hosting with friends ... Home Bargains has raised the game when it comes to affordable homeware. I doubt these will hang around for long."
