Major high street restaurant chain to open 10 new branches across UK see full list

A trendy company providing a chain of bars and restaurants are expanding their portfolio and adding several more spots across the UK high streets and providing a 'tasty food'

A branch serving food and drink are expanding across the UK, with new sites popping up on several high streets.


Loungers PLC have announced they are expanding into 10 new locations to add to their current 220 strong catalogue. Currently there are 238 Lounges, 36 Cosy Clubs and three Brightsides. The openings are expected to take place over the next few months, meaning some punters can get in before Christmas for their parties. In fact, one restaurant opened its doors earlier this week.


The last restaurant is expected to open its doors in March 2025, which will expand Loungers PLC's portfolio to 249 venues. In there, customers can enjoy a variety of food and drink. According to their website, they provide everything from "zingy salads to massive burgers with all the trimmings."

The company opened their first branch, named Lounge, on North Street in Bedminster, Bristol, in August 2002. Since then, the founders Alex Reilley, David Reid, and Jake Bishop have been growing their business.

This year they opened eight branches, and they managed six the year before. Their 200th restaurant, Verdetto Lounge, opened in Buckingham September last year.

And punters seem to be glad the restaurant is expanding across UK high streets, with several Trip Advisor commenters leaving glowing reviews. One even went as far as to say it was "better than Wetherspoons."

Another added: "Brilliant place, been here a few times and the food never fails to impress." While a third wrote: "Service was quick, food was tasty, nothing to complain about."
