Making someone a cuppa is the top way to show you love them.
Romantic Brits say whipping up a brew if someone is sad is the countrys top love language gesture.
New research shows that knowing how someone takes their tea and bringing someone a brew in bed mean the most to sentimental sorts.
Sending a thoughtful text, asking someone how their day was and holding open the door also rate highly for showing someone you care.
Also on the list of showing love through meaningful gestures that matter is offering a foot rub after a hard day at work.
Other things Brits see as romantic include giving someone your last chip , handing over the remote control and even cutting someones TOENAILS.
One in 20 say they would even consider popping a loved one's spots as an expression of love while two thirds - 62% - of the 2,000 Brits polled by tea giants Tetley say they believe actions speak louder than words when it comes to showing you care about someone - 67% are adamant that caring gestures dont have to always be big and bold.
Mat Bird, Director of Marketing for Tetley said: Its really encouraging to see how simple gestures and quiet acts of kindness still form the true language of British affection and care for each other.
Its no surprise that putting the kettle on comes so high on the list of gestures; making someone a cup of tea is a simple way to communicate so much; tea has a silent language that shows you care and its something we should all do a little bit more of.
