Man with penis the size of a paracetamol to get surgery that could 'change his life forever'

Michael Phillips, whose manhood measures less than a centimetre, is set to undergo 'life-changing' girth surgery after raising thousands via an online appeal for funds

A unlucky bloke whose tiny penis has made him feel 'horrible' all his life is set to undergo "life-changing" surgery funded by public donations.

Michael Phillips, whose appendage measures less than a centimetre (0.38 inches) and is smaller than a paracetamol, is set to undergo an enhancement. It involves using a semi-permanent dermal filler that will mean he may no longer have to reply on nappies and can, in his own words, get a degree of "normalcy and comfort", according to the New York Post.

While the seemingly life-changing surgery may not be able to stop him from technically having a micropenis, he said he hopes the new fillers will allow him use the bathroom easily, as well as feel less self-conscious.

The condition has also had adverse impacts on his sex life. Mr Phillips, of North Carolina, US, said that "the biggest challenges Ive faced [are] having a sexual relationship and still being a virgin and being able to talk about it openly because of how embarrassing of a topic it is".

He was able to raise the money for the surgery via GoFundMe, as well as a round of media appearances including an interview on ITV television show This Morning.

Describing the surgery as "a big step toward living with more dignity and independence", he spoke about his gratitude at reaching the $6,000 (4,500) donation goal.

He wrote: " Because my story was recently shared in the media, this fundraiser has exceeded its original goal. Thank you to everyone who has donated!

"The original estimate for the procedure was $6,000 plus taxes. The additional funds raised will be used to cover the final exact medical costs, necessary post-procedure prescriptions, travel and lodging for the procedure, and to support my living expenses and lost income while I am recovering and unable to work.

"Over the years, my story has been featured in the news and on television, which has brought some awareness to my condition but also added to the emotional weight I carry."
