Mechanic who won 108m on lottery says it's 'quite boring' and he just watches TV

Neil Trotter, from Surrey, won the 107.9million EuroMillions jackpot in 2014 and was the fourth biggest lottery winner in the country at the time but he says it's boring

A Brit bloke who bagged a colossal 107.9million EuroMillions jackpot after "predicting it" is now finding his millionaire lifestyle to be a bit of a bore-fest.

Neil Trotter, who won the huge payload back in 2014, has got it all from a sprawling Grade II-listed mansion with its own lake to flashy motors like a Jaguar and Porsche after ditching his old Ford Focus, but the ex-mechanic reckons that his ritzy life isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Despite being warned by the Camelot Group to take it easy with his newfound wealth, Neil splurged immediately and now admits to a yawn-inducing reality of leisure, as reported by the Mirror. He spilled: "Going from having to work to not having to work any more was quite a strange thing to adjust to. I soon found out that sitting at home watching telly all day was quite boring."

Neil always had an inkling that he would become a lottery winner, even going as far to tell all his friends and family that he would one day win big.

Flash forward and Neil's living the dream, even reigniting his passion for racing, but it seems even mansions with lakes can lose their sparkle. Chatting in 2019, he revealed: "Being a Trotter, I knew I'd be a millionaire one day and I somehow knew I'd win the Lottery.

"I used to tell my dad I'd have a house with a lake, and he'd say, 'In your dreams, son!' I had such a strong feeling on the Friday that I'd win, I told the secretary at work.

"Winning allowed me to go back to my first love racing. And I've the house with a lake."

Neil had a spine-tingling premonition that paid off when he boldly told his dad's office pals that "this time tomorrow" he'd be rolling in cash.

Just hours later, his instincts proved right as his EuroMillions Lucky Dip nabbed a cool 107,932,603.20, catapulting him to the fourth spot on the list of the country's biggest lottery winners.
