WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair says his daughter Charlotte has already surpassed his legacy and is the "best wrestler in the world". And the Nature Boy believes the company should have her break John Cena's record 17 world title reign and be as big as Serena Williams.
Charlotte, a 14-time world champion, previously told how her "unique" dad Ric is "the one person who never, ever gave up on my potential to be great" as she revealed she took up wrestling to help her brother Reid, who later died of a drug overdose..
Ric, 76, said of his daughter: "Shes surpassed my legacy already. If they were smart and I had anything to say on it, I would have her break Cenas world title record. Because I think it would be one of those things that would be so big. She would be a Serena Williams."
Speaking to escapist magazine on behalf of the Daily Star, he added: "She hates it when I say that. But the female wrestlers are so good now. I mean, there's more good female talent than there is male. It's not even close.
"Youve got Naomi, Becky Lynch, Bailey, Iyo Skye, I dont want to leave anyone out but I don't know all of their names. You talk about athletic ability, Jesus Christ! Asuka, the list goes on."
Charlotte, 39, headlined the WWE's first all-female main event and returned to the ring in January's Royal Rumble after a horror knee injury kept her out of action for more than a year.
Writing in the Players Tribune earlier this year, she said of being a wrestler: "It wasnt my dream. That was Reids dream he was the one following in our dads footsteps. Me? I was just following in Reids footsteps. I just wanted to be there for him.
"So thats why I got into wrestling at first. Because my little brother needed me, and he asked me to do it. And even though it IS my dream, now, and Im dreaming for both of us."
Ric added: "She only became a wrestler by accident. But not only is she the best female wrestler, shes the best wrestler in the world and the most athletic person in the company.
"She is the best wrestler, male or female and I can say that without flinching, without looking back. The only person who I think is close to her, when he is on and healthy, when you think about in ring timing and knowing where you are all the time, is Randy Orton."
